There are a limited supply of critical minerals to produce lithium batteries. By spreading out these limited resources across Hybrid (HEV), Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) and All-Electric (BEV) vehicle batteries, we can produce more low emission vehicles. The materials needed to produce a battery in a single long-range BEV can be spread into approximately 6 equivalent PHEV batteries or roughly 90 equivalent HEV batteries. We believe it’s important to diversify our portfolio so you can have the freedom to decide how you’d like to drive change.
