First Round of Nonprofits Chosen for Toyota 100 Cars for Good

A few months ago, Toyota gave the go-ahead for the 2012 100 Cars for Good program. Sponsored by the generous automaker, the program donates 100 stellar new Toyota vehicles to 100 extremely deserving nonprofits over the span of 100 days.

You might be wondering why we're bringing this up if Toyota already made the announcement quite a bit ago. Well, Toyota Marin is pleased to provide those in the San Rafael area with an update. Toyota has shared the first 25 organizations to receive new autos.

Have you ever heard of the Hope for Paws Animal Rescue? What about Together We Rise or Operation Blankets of Love? All of these fantastic nonprofits are among the first round of winners and all are based out of California.

For those who are unfamiliar with how the 100 Cars for Good program works, allow Toyota Marin to shed some light. Facebook users and Toyota fans can head to the automaker's profile page and vote for which nominated nonprofits they think should take home a set of new wheels. The most popular groups will then be able to choose from any one of the following new Toyota vehicles: Camry Hybrid, Prius v, Sienna, Sienna Mobility, Tundra.

Jim Lentz, President and Chief Executive Officer of Toyota Motor Sales, notes, "Toyota created the 100 Cars for Good program because we appreciate what a big difference a new car or truck can make for organizations working to improve lives and strengthen communities across America."1

For the latest news surrounding all Toyota initiatives and programs, Toyota Marin invites you to stop by 445 Francisco Blvd East San Rafael, CA 94901 and speak with one of our knowledgeable brand ambassadors.
