A first glance the 2011 Toyota Tundra may not look like much.  With a rusty paintjob, a weathered look and tire rims not from this century, someone would have to be crazy to purchase this for $100,000.

But trust us when we tell you there is more than meets the eye.

Toyota approached NASCAR driver, Clint Bowyer to design the 2011 Toyota Tundra.  Inspired by the American Heartland, the truck has such design details as a wooden truck bed, old school 20-inch rims, and the most noticeable feature, a Sherwin Williams custom hand paint job.  Inside the truck you can find cloth seats and wood paneling.

The truck was available at Barret-Jackson Charity Auctions, with a starting bid of $30,000.  To entice people to bid more Clint Bowyer included his official NASCAR driving suit and a trip to the 2013 Daytona 500, which saw the price quickly raise to the final price of $100,000.

So who was the biggest beneficiary of the truck auction?  The Emporia Community Foundation, a charity that supports such things such as education, recreation and elder care in the Emporia County KS area.
