A new Toyota Tacoma off-road pickup will be available at Toyota Marin in San Rafael in 2012.

Unveiled at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas, the new  Toyota Tacoma  T/X Baja Edition will join the already impressive Japanese line up next year. "It's the type of truck that will shine in a Texas ranch environment, or on a Midwest hunting trip, off the highway in a California desert, or anywhere, east or west, where the roads are rugged," said Toyota division boss Bob Carter at its unveiling at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas.¹

The new Tacoma Baja includes Toyota's TRD Off-Road package, and rides two inches higher than a stock model on large coil springs and racing shocks in the front and rear suspension. The T/X Baja Series package also includes:
-    Electronically controlled locking rear differential
-    Active Traction Control
-    Hill Start and Downhill Assist Controls
-    BF Goodrich T/A KO tires wrapped around off-road wheels in a gunmetal gray and Baja Series graphics.

-    Race Shocks on the rear suspension-    Available on Tacoma Access and Double Cab 4X4 (first, but may get expanded to PreRunner later)

The new Toyota truck will have a limited run of 2 months in Spring, 2012.
